Mission Statement

The mission of the Selma Adult School is to provide a student-centered instructional program which allows students to reach their highest potential as contributing members of society. Our goal is that each student will acquire the skills, training and experience necessary to enter a college or career pathway of their choosing by cultivating their critical thinking and problem solving skills. As educators we are dedicated to creating an inclusive and respectful learning environment that fosters collaboration, equity, and continuous advancement of all adult learners.

Selma Adult School students are:

● Self-motivated and responsible learners: Students set personal and academic goals and take responsibility for their progress.
